Did you know that you can choose which one of your tabs is displayed when a fan sees your Facebook page for the first time? No? Well you can. And it’s really easy to do. But why would you want to change your landing page in the first place? Well, maybe you want to catch the attention of potential fans with your music; in that case you could use the tab with your music player in it as your default.
Perhaps you have a Store in your Facebook page which allows you to sell your music or merchandise to fans without asking them to leave the site* – if so you might want to have your store as your landing page. Stadium fillers U2 are currently using this page as their default page for non fans – providing tempting bait for people to Like them with the promise of exclusive clips from the new DVD of their latest tour.
Whatever the reason, it’s good to know that the option is there, so I’ll take you through the process in 3 short steps: In your main page go to “Edit Page” (this is just under your picture). Click to edit your Wall Settings. Select your desired Tab default page from the drop-down list in the Default landing tab for everyone else option. And that’s it -you’re done! * If you’d like to explore selling your music or merchandise in Facebook get in touch with us – we’d be happy to help.
