Services

Written January 28, 2011. Platforms and services described here have changed. This is kept as a record, not as current advice.

What We Do When we work with artists, labels or management companies we usually provide end-to-end online marketing and sales services. We work together to develop plans of attack and then we deliver them. Amp are one of just a handful of fully-accredited marketing services partners with Topspin Media and can give you access to the full suite of industry-leading Topspin retail and marketing software.

We can do everything from build your website to ship your merchandise, so let’s get working together! Our services fall under four main categories: Reach , Fan Engagement , Fan Acquisition and Monetization . Reach This is, in effect, “casting the net”. We work closely with music bloggers and other media outlets to generate online PR .

We list music on all the online music retailers and music services ( iTunes, Amazon, Last.fm , Spotify , Grooveshark , Soundcloud etc.) and optimize the tracks for discovery. We build and maintain profiles on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and other social media channels to reach as many fans as possible. We run highly effective and cost-efficient online advertising campaigns, so that you can cast your net as wide as possible. For a current music-distribution reference, see Ditto Music.

Don’t have a home on the internet? We can build you a professional website for your music, or conduct an audit on your current website to ensure it is optimized for search, sales and user-experience. We offer a suite of different website packages for your budget, all of which are designed for ease of content management into the future.

Fan Engagement We help artists create compelling content – from simple profile updates to engaging e-newsletters and remarkable videos. We ensure that your website and all of your digital content is optimized so that it can be easily ‘liked’, commented on and shared by your fans. The internet may not have the mass-market reach of traditional media like MTV, but it is the perfect territory for passionate and involved fans to engage with you and spread the word to their networks of like-minded friends.

Fan Acquisition Growing you a fan-base is a core goal of all of our marketing efforts in Amp. We believe in the power of Permission Marketing to build an audience of engaged fans who will be passionate about your music and will want to support you by buying your album, your merchandise and your concert tickets. We manage email lists to ensure that fans are given valuable, unique content; not spam or overly-repeated entreaties to “buy my album!”.

We grow fan-bases with incentives such as free track downloads in exchange for an email address, or a Facebook ‘Like’. We build custom Facebook landing pages so that when a potential fan discovers your page, they are then more likely to make a connection with you. Monetization After the first three steps we’ll have cast a wide net and built a significant audience of engaged, excited, and contactable fans.

We can now reach out to these fans directly, telling them about your latest music, concert tickets and merchandise available for sale. Using best-in-class e-retail software, we sell directly through artists’ websites to ensure you come away with the highest margin and the most valuable customer insights. Instead of sending your fans to a third party retailer who will keep the information for themselves, we now know who your buyers are, what prompted them to make the purchase, what they bought and how to contact them in future for the next release.

Get In Touch If you’re interested in any of the services above and would like to talk with us in person, over the phone or email, then please get in touch . We work with artists of any size, from setting up your very first website, right through to developing a sales strategy to maximize profits. If, however, you’re just starting out in your musical career and don’t think you can afford to hire help from an agency like Amp, then we recommend you check out our newly launched forums , where DIY artists from all over the world are asking questions and sharing advice with each other.
